At Billy Bounce we care about protecting and preserving the environment
Most of our products are recycled and we recycle as much waste as possible. Here are some steps we take to make our product and processes sustainable.
Reusing tonnes of shredded truck tyres
During 2022/2023 we used 2676 tonnes of SBR which is made from shredded truck tyres
Saving tonnes of scrap rubber
We also used 838 tonnes of Black EPDM which is made from scrap rubber from the automotive industry (rubber window seals, linings and tubing)
Finding a new purpose for forklift tyres
1093 tonnes of recycled forklift tyres make our colour-coated rubber mulch
Recycling 50 tonnes of scrap metal
We recycle all of our resin drums which is approximately 50 tonnes of scrap metal, which goes on to be reused
Recycling our delivery pallets
We deliver all our material on wooden pallets, which we reuse until the end of their life before being recycled
Minimising our landfill
Over the last 12 months any other waste we have produced is processed for recycling. In 2023 we had 168.32 tonnes of waste of which 73.8% was recycled and the remaining 26.2% underwent further processing so that it can be used as fuel in Waste to Energy Plants.
