Our Wet Pour surfacing is a multi-component polyurethane and rubber composite. It’s formed in situ by a chemical mixing, wet pouring, levelling, screeding and rolling process.
We combine an EPDM rubber crumb with a polyurethane binder to create a long-lasting, safe and attractive surface.
When installing wetpour as a safety surface, we use a two-layer system. SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) granules form a base layer for the surface, producing the impact absorbent properties of the system. Whilst EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Modified) rubber crumbs form the wearing course of the surface.
Depth and Area Sizes
We calculate the depth of the Wet Pour following the Critical Fall Height (CFH) of any fixed play equipment. CFH is the height from which a surface will absorb the impact of a child’s fall to reduce the risk of serious head injury. We’re happy to advise the CFH of any existing or planned play equipment.

Sub-base requirements for Wet Pour
We lay Wet Pour safety surfaces onto a variety of sub-bases. The most common being Type 1 MOT stone, Tarmac or concrete. We can lay the surface onto other sub-bases, but please contact us to discuss.

Accreditations & Standards
BS EN 7188 tests safety surfacing to different criteria such as the determination of slip resistance, indentation resistance, durability, ease of ignition, tensile strength and elongation at break.
